Buying a home gym saves you the hassle and the costs of going to a fitness gym, but with so many models and brands out there, which one will you choose? There are other considerations, too, will you be able to assemble your spanking new home gym machine easily? Can it fit anywhere?

Just like for all other exercise fitness machines in this site, we have decided to make a list of the Top 10 Bestsellers in the Home Gym Machines category just for you.

To view complete information on each home gym machine, just click on any of the product images in the Top Picks carousel, or on the individual product links we have included below:

#1 Total Gym 1100

E. Manning – Good buy for beginners – “Yes, there are a few downsides to this system. It can take up a bit of floorspace, and it is a bit pricey. But… I had this system a few years ago and loved it. I had to sell it when I moved into a tiny apartment and needed all the space I could get. I recently repurchased the item again and don’t regret it at all. There are so many exercises you can perform with this unit, and after two and a half weeks I’m already seeing results. This is a great product for beginners or for those who want an inexpensive home gym.”

#2 Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym

H. Lain – Great machine – “This is my first home gym. I was looking for something easy to use and conservative on space. The Bowflex PR3000 is perfect for those wishes. I use it almost everyday and feel I get a great work out. The machine is very well made and sturdy, and so easy to put together. The Bowflex products are expensive, but well worth the money. This home gym is a great alternative when going to a public gym is inconvienient.”

#3 Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym (Refurbished by Nautilus)

D. Gee – 5 stars is not enough – “Yo, this machine is dope I’ve heard alot of oppions on this machine and to the 4 stars and below you crazy “5 stars isn’t even enough. The assembly was mad easy, the design is sick and the exercises are insane. I’ve built muscle mass just in the 3 weeks I’ve owned the machine I’ve lost nearly 11 pounds in those 3 weeks and more to come. Bowflex rules.”

#4 Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym

K. Webber – “We love our Bowflex PR1000 home gym. It folds up, it has the option of a full flat bench or slanted back. We do intend on purchasing more weights for it. It’s great at the moment but my husband would like to add more weight as we go. Tremendous purchase and great communication with Amazon.com as our 1st bowflex was lost during shipment (found a couple of days later) but Amazon.com immediately sent out another one to us and arrived ASAP! No problems!”

#5 Body Solid EXM1500S Single Stack Home Gym

D. Dillenberger – Very satisfied with new Home Gym – “The Body-Solid Home Gym arrived in six boxes in only 10 days. The instructions for assembly were not that great but after taking the time to organize the parts in particular the various sized bolts and associated nuts it went very well. I think the key to assembly is to read over each section carefully and get the exploded view down pat then follow the step by step directions. By the time I was done it took just about five hours and I had a few parts left over. The machine is everything I had hoped for. Its smooth action is a delight and both me and my wife love it already. I missed the workout center but now that I work out of my house the 20 mile round trip into town just didn’t make sense. The money was well spent and I am 100% satisfied.”

#6 Total Trainer DLX Black

J. Pickett – “Easy to set up. Instructions and photos clear. Takes some time to try and select the exercises. I found a couple of exercises (curls and crunches) which I prefer to do with traditional free weights – which I have had for years. Someone not used to weight lifting would likely find the Trainer perfectly adequate for those exercise. One benefit is hard to explain since it is totally subjective. Thus far I find the apparatus to be sort of self motivating, i.e., it’s kind of fun and therefor more likely to be used. Perhaps that will change as the novelty wears off. It appears to be suitable for almost anyone of any age or fitness level except a serious weight lifter or other super athlete.”

#7 Body Solid Best Fitness Sportsmans Gym

C. Marland – Great small home gym – “This machine does just what you need as a home-fitness gym. It is compact and both my wife and I find it great to maintain tone without wanting huge bulk. It has 150lb in stacked weight which is fine for your general fitness needs. If you want larger weights then I would buy some free-weights but if you want a decent, well put together home gym that works arms, legs & chest then you can’t go wrong with this machine.”

#8 Powertec WB-LS Workbench Leverage Gym

Bigtone – Pure Power! It Works! Yeah, It Definitely Works! – “I bought my Powertec Workbench Leverage Home Gym for 4 months now. I waited to give this review because when you look for something like this one of the main things you want to know is, “Does it really work?” I spent months researching and trying out comparable machines like BowFlex, Weider, and Soloflex. I chose this machine because I wanted to lift REAL weight. I also needed something versatile and something that I wouldn’t easily outgrow.”

#9 Total Gym 1700 Club

L. G. Barnes – Total Gym Totally Rocks – “My husband and I bought the total gym 1700 model for ourselves as an early Christmas present. We were in the market for a home workout machine and had tested the Bowflex and Weider machines but found the cost to be too high for the Bowflex and the quality to be too “iffy” for the Weider. The Total Gym comes fully assembled and it is so much fun to use. I find myself looking forward to our workout nights all day long while I am at work (and I am usually a couch junkie, not a fitness buff). I told my husband it is like a Six Flags ride that you have to work hard for. You get a great workout, can do most any exercise you could do at the gym, the video that comes with it is excellent, plus you can use it for a great Pilates workout as well. For the money, I believe that it is the best machine you can buy…”

#10 Powerline PHG1000X Single Stack Home Gym

Jessica – Well made, compact but no weights – “This gym is well made, solid, but comes with no weights. It’s small enough that it will fit in any room – I have it in a 6×4ft area. The instructions leave a lot to the imagination but with that said, it only took me 4 1/2 hours to put together. Make sure that you lay all the parts out and put them in order so you know which part is which before you begin.”

I own a Powertec Workbench and I never have to go to a gym again. It is as strong as they get and I can give my whole body a rigerous training 4 times a week.
